UNIFIL - Irish / Finnish  Battalion  - since 2006

The Irish returned to UNIFIL (unit level) on the 31 October 2006 with the 34th Infantry Group.  The roll being fulfilled is different than on the previous UNIFIL service,  now they are working alongside a Finnish engineer company and both make up a joint Irish-Finnish Battalion.   Badge size is 55mm  x  62mm.  Designer Finnish,  colour is the Finn Engineer colours.

This HQ / Logs badge is official and worn by Finnish personnel for some reason it is not worn by the Irish personnel working in the HQ / Logs areas until near the end of the tour.     Badge size is 55mm x 60mm with a velcro backing.

This Workshop platoon badge is official and worn by Finnish personnel it was not worn by the Irish personnel working in the workshop until near the end of the mission.
